About Us
The Caspian Diabesity Expo is Hyderabad's dedicated public day of diabetes and obesity action: a full-day, free-entry festival of health screenings, specialist talks, hands-on workshops, a doctor CME track and an exhibition of everything that helps people live well. The 3rd edition is on Saturday, 14 November 2026, World Diabetes Day.
Why "diabesity"?
Diabetes and obesity are one intertwined epidemic. India has 101 million adults with diabetes, 136 million with prediabetes and 254 million with obesity (ICMR-INDIAB, Lancet 2023), and most people discover their diabetes years too late. The expo exists to move people from awareness to testing to action, in one day, under one roof.
Track record
The 1st edition (2024, Caspian Diabetes & Children's Health Expo) was Hyderabad's first patient-facing diabetes expo. The 2nd edition (23 November 2025, Banjara Function Hall) welcomed 1,000+ visitors with 50+ sponsors and partners, free full-body checkups and four specialist workshops, in collaboration with RSSDI Telangana.
Who runs it
Caspian Healthcare Foundation, a public charitable trust registered at Hyderabad (Regd. Doc No. 30/2023, Bk-IV, SRO Golconda), with its own PAN and bank account.
Managing Trustee: Dr. Khizer Hussain Junaidy, Consultant Diabetologist, educator and author of patient guides on diabetes and obesity.
The Foundation is physician-led and independent. Every rupee from passes and sponsorships lands in the trust, funds the free screening program (each full-body screening is worth over ₹1,000 to the beneficiary), and is reported back to partners with audited utilisation.
